IBM and iSeries - Headed Where?

Take ten minutes and Google the Internet. The answer is not definitive.

How has/will IBM small to midrange sales of the iSeries perform in comparison to PC Servers

IBM appears to be more flexible on the Blade server, where they are offering OS/400 operating system.   Xdata began installing GXD on an IBM blade servers in 2006. (operating in a Windows environment)

We at Xdata, like many IT professionals, love the IBM iSeries.  We also love the ease, flexibility and maneuverability of Microsoft Windows operating systems where we enjoy the interoperability of Word, Excel, and Outlook with GXD.  We love our iSeries and we love our PC's, and nothing beats what they can do when you combine the best each has to offer.

If you have doubts about the future and want to hedge your bet …talk to us. Our software suite runs with an iSeries …or without one ...just as well.  We have clients that have moved from the iSeries family to a PC server-based system overnight …and the end user could see no difference.
