NEWS Wire Daily -- IBM Confuses with WebFacing Message, Vendors Say

Rita-Lyn Sanders talks briefly about Xdata solutions in NEWS Wire Daily on

IBM sends messages to iSeries shops to look for "tools" to help turn old "green-screen" applications into modern Window-like formats.  The big problem that IBM doesn't seem to recognize is that tools make old code look a little flashier, but still run just like the old green-screen code.  IBM fails to recognize that using these new "tools" don't make your inventory transactions post in real-time or magically make your old batch accounting programs work like a real-time General Ledger with automatic feeds and complete traceability.

Most shops today want to automatically send faxes and emails from: invoicing, purchasing, and order-entry.  Most shops want reports to be printable, viewable, or to automatically open with Microsoft Excel at the touch of a single key.  Most shops want modern accounting that allows you to close your books at the end of the month in 15 minutes ..and to be able to re-open closed periods at any time to make an adjustment.  They want to be able to print bar codes (and graphics) and to associate pictures with the iSeries database.  Many shops need lot/serial-number tracking and other advanced features.

We can help you have all these things and more ..for less that the cost of the tools and the effort to use them.  Simply contact us for more information by clicking here!
